Most parts of Poland have a flat terrain wich makes of the country an ideal destination for a cycling holiday. This is certainly true for the north-eastern part of Poland, Masuria, where partly unsurfaced cycling tracks follow the shores of the numerous lakes. Cycling in Masuria is a real treatment for your health.

The natural beauty of this region, with its numerous lakes, you can enjoy at its best along its safe and signposted  trails where cars cannot come. The entchantend forests are beautiful because they are not disturbed for centuries by human. Add on top of that friendly locals, authenticity and vivid traditions which makes of this region unique.

From the capital Warsaw, with its numerous monuments, you will travel by minibus to the gateway of the Masurian lake district near Babiety. Mragowo is a pleasant and historical city where you can wander along the shore of the lake. The third day is an example of what you will encounter during your holiday. The cycling path crosses one beautiful village after another and the natural beauty alternates with castles, baroque churches, gothic bridges and many other sights who testify from a rich cultural and historical past.

The fourth day you wil surely enjoy the winding cycling path along the shore of Lake Mamry. The fifth day you will explore the forest of Borecka, one of  Europe's purest forests with a very rich fauna and flora.  In Gizycko you will take the boat to Mikolajki, an idyllic place who is often compared with Saint-Tropez in France. After that you will follow cycle paths to serveral places among them the russian orthodox monastery of Wojnowo. The seventh day you will cycle through the Krutyn region or if you want you can cannoe on the river.

This cycling holiday ends in Warsaw, a fascinating city that has played a major role in the history of Europe.
